Abstract

The invention provides an information extracting and structural describing method aiming at an English patent. The method comprises the following steps of 1, extracting patent information based on a grammar rule; 2, conducting technological similarity calculation based on semantics, wherein in a patent literature, different expression modes are adopted in the same subsidiary technology, and by calculating the similarity among the extracted subsidiary information, a semantic heterogeneity is reduced, an extracted patent principle graph is simplified; 3, constructing a patent principle graph; wherein with the extracted subsidiary technologies being nodes and relation information among technologies being sides, a principle graph for describing the patent is automatically generated; the patent principle graph is defined as an undirected graph constituted by connecting the sides with the structural information in the patent being points and the mutual function relation of the structural piece being sides.
