Abstract

The present invention proposes a velocity modeling method for VSP. The method comprises the following steps: establishing an initial model; calculating direct wave items and reflected wave items based on the initial model; using observation data and simulated data to perform waveform inversion; and simulated data errors to update the initial model. The present invention constructs a target functional by means of separating the downlink direct wave and uplink reflected wave by processing the VSP data, increasing the reliability and stability of the inversion through weight constraints, and updating the velocity model by means of waveform approximation, thereby achieving high precision VSP modeling technology.
