Abstract

The invention discloses an adapter card and a method for supporting a device with two interfaces. The adapter card has a first interface of a first type that supports a plurality of data ports, a second interface of a second type that supports at least a part of the data ports, and a third interface of the second type. The device may also include a switching module coupled to a control port of the first interface for selectively coupling the data port to at least one of the second interface and the third interface according to a signal from the control port.
