Abstract

A river surface flow velocity estimation method based on compressed sensing image analysis includes the following steps: (a) outdoor equipment installation and configuration: the surrounding environment of a target river needing to be monitored is surveyed, and an appropriate installation location is selected to install and configure a camera; (b) target river surface water flow image acquisition:the camera shoots river surface water flow videos in different time periods and under various weather conditions at a frame rate of 60fps, and the staff uses a flow velocity meter or a velocity measurement radar to record the river flow velocity at the time corresponding to each video; (c) image preprocessing: carrying out graying, histogram equalization, contrast enhancement and dimensionality reduction on an intercepted water flow image; and (d) surface flow velocity estimation: modeling a training sample data set through a compressed sensing image analysis method, and using the model established to acquire the category label of testing sample data in real time.
