Abstract

The invention discloses a high breeding ratio reactor core. The reactor core is an external neutron source area centered continuous area, and the continuous area successively includes, from the insideout, an amplification zone, a functional zone and a shielding zone. Mixed fuel of MA nuclide and depleted uranium is placed in the amplification zone, and high-energy neutrons produced by the external neutron source area are utilized to initiate neutron multiplication of MA nuclide and depleted uranium. A convertible material is placed in the functional zone, and neutrons leaked from the amplification zone are employed for fuel breeding. The shielding zone is used for shielding neutrons leaked from a functional component. The high breeding ratio reactor core provided by the invention can realize production of fissile nucleus in a reactor and high consumption ratio of fissile nucleus, i.e. under the circumstance of generating the same fissile nucleus, fewer fissile nucleus is consumed, andthe reactor breeding ratio is high.
