Abstract

The invention discloses an application of Piriformospora indica to improvement of the resistance of plants to bensulfuron methyl serving as a herbicide and belongs to the technical field of crop planting. The Piriformospora indica is not inhibited by bensulfuron methyl, and the established Piriformospora indica-crop co-culture system is capable of remarkably improving the resistance of crops to bensulfuron methyl and reducing phytotoxicity; and after the Piriformospora indica serving as a beneficial endophytic fungus is colonized into the crops, no side effects are generated, and meanwhile, the environment safety is guaranteed. The crops are rice, rapes, sunflowers, tobaccos, wheat and maize. The invention further provides a method for improving the resistance of rice to bensulfuron methylserving as a herbicide. The method comprises the steps: co-culturing rice seedlings in a rice culture solution containing Piriformospora indica to obtain rice seedlings in which the Piriformospora indica is colonized, and then, transplanting the rice seedlings in which the Piriformospora indica is colonized to a farmland, and culturing the rice seedlings until harvesting rice.
