The method comprises: a synchronous phasor measurement unit (PMU) is set at one side of a generator, wherein the PMU is used for obtaining a dynamic characteristic signal of a power transmitter of the generator; a PMU signal receiving device is arranged and isused for receiving the dynamic characteristic signal, obtained by the PMU, of the a power transmitter of the generator and transmitting the signal to a real-time digital simulation system (RTDS); a generator simulation model is established in a simulation interface of the RTDS; control information of the generator is transmitted to the generator simulation model to simulate the actual operation state of the generator; and on the basis of the actual operation state result of the simulated generator, dynamic characteristics of the power transmitter are checked.
