Abstract

An auto-injector is disclosed having a body (1) designed to receive a reservoir (S), said reservoir (S) containing a fluid product and having a piston (P) and a needle (A), for example a pre-filled syringe, said auto-injector having an actuator sleeve (10) movable with respect to said body (1) between projected positions, in which said actuator sleeve (10) at least partially protrudes from said body (1), and an actuating position, in which said actuator sleeve (10) is moved axially towards the inside of said body (1), said actuator sleeve (10) being in a first projected position before actuation of the auto-injector and in a second projected position after actuation of the auto-injector, said actuator sleeve (10) being stressed towards said projected positions by a spring (9), said auto-injector having a removable cap (20) fixed to said body (1) before use of the auto-injector, said removable cap (20), when fixed to said body (1), moving said actuator sleeve (10) axially with respect to said first projected position by a distance (d) towards the inside of said body (1), against the force of said spring (9), in such a way that, when said removable cap (20) is removed from said body(1), said spring (9) returns the same to said first projected position.
