Abstract

The invention discloses an agentless continuous data protection method based on IPSAN shared storage. The method comprises the following steps: 1) creating a virtual block storage device, mapping thevirtual block device to a target end of an iSCSI by using an open source iSCSI tool; 2) establishing a network connection between a backup server and a production server, and establishing a network connection between the backup server and an IPSAN shared storage server; 3) submitting, by a driving program of the virtual block device, data of a read-write request to a data processing module on thebackup server for processing, and synchronously forwarding, by the data processing module, the read-write request to the IPSAN shared storage server, meanwhile submitting a data change to a CDP backupmodule on the backup server for processing, and recording, by the CDP backup module, a data change log; and 4) when the data need to be restored, performing, by a CDP restoration module, a restoration operation according to the data change log recorded in step 3). By adoption of the agentless continuous data protection method disclosed by the invention, the workload is reduced.
