Abstract

The invention discloses a line-based embedded video compression method with a fixed code rate, and image processing equipment. The method comprises the following steps: receiving the current coding frame, grouping the pixels in the current coding frame on the basis of line-by-line, and encapsulating the grouped pixel into a pixel line segment; computing complexity information of the current line segment according to the pixel in the current pixel line segment and the adjacent pixel; coding the current pixel line segment by using the differential pulse-coding modulation mode (DPCM) and a truncation mode according to the quantization parameter, thereby producing the DPCM code stream and the truncation code stream; and computing the new QP corresponding to the to-be-processed next pixel linesegment by feeding back the code traffic used by the current pixel line segment.
