Abstract

The invention discloses a method for quantitatively describing change laws of variances of rockfill material frictional angles along with confining pressure. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) extracting samples from a rockfill material, and carrying out a tri-axial compression test under a consolidated drainage condition so as to obtain a peak frictional angle (as shown in the specification) of each sample; (2) after frictional angles (as shown in the specification) of the samples under each level of confining pressure are tested, calculating a variance under each level of confining pressure (as shown in the specification); (3) describing laws that the variances of the rockfill material frictional angles change along with the confining pressure; and (4) determining coefficients a, b, c and d through a nonlinear regression method according to the variance under each level of confining pressure (as shown in the specification), so as to obtain a mathematic expression describing change laws of the variances of the rockfill material frictional angles along with the confining pressure. According to the method, variances of rockfill material frictional angles are used for measuring degrees of variability and uncertainty, so that the method can be used for analyzing the anti-sliding stability and reliability of rockfill buildings, and analyzing stability conditions of the rockfill buildings more scientifically and reasonably.
