Abstract

The invention discloses a method and system for determining a variational optical flow based on mutual structure guiding filtering. The method comprises: a to-be-processed image sequence is obtained;region division is carried out on the to-be-processed image sequence to obtain a mutual structural region and an inconsistent region; according an image mutual structure extraction factor, the mutualstructural region in the to-be-processed image sequence is extracted to obtain a mutual structural image sequence; a TV-L1 optical flow calculation model based on guiding filtering is obtained; according to the TV-L1 optical flow calculation model based on guiding filtering, an output optical flow value of each layer in the mutual structural image sequence is determined; and an optical flow chartof the to-be-processed image sequence is obtained based on the output optical flow value of each layer in the mutual structural image sequence. With the method and system provided by the invention, problems that the image and motion edge are too smooth in the image sequence optical flow calculation result can be solved; and the method and system have high calculation precision and adaptability forthe complicated edge image sequence in a complicated scene.
