Abstract

The invention relates to WTRU and a method for the WTRU. The WTRU comprises a receiver and a processor and is configured to receive measurement configuration information from a long-term evolution (LTE) network. The measurement configuration information comprises measurement and timing of wave beams, cell identifiers and index information of wave beams. The receiver and the processor are further configured to measure at least one wave beam according to the measurement and timing of wave beams and the index information of wave beams. The receiver and the processor are configured to transmit a measurement report to the LTE network, wherein the measurement report comprises cellular identifiers, cell indices and value used for indicating quality of measured wave beams.

Description

[0001] This application is a divisional application of Chinese patent application 201280060319.2 entitled "Method and Device for Millimeter Wave Communication System" submitted on December 06, 2012. [0002] Cross References to Related Applications [0003] This application claims the benefit of US Provisional Application No. 61 / 568,639, filed December 8, 2011, the contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference. Background technique [0004] The Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) introduced Long Term Evolution (LTE) to increase cellular network bandwidth for expected mobile data demands. However, the planned increase in mobile data demand may export even LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) capacity. The delivery of high-speed mobile data can be implemented using millimeter waves (mmW). For example, further generation of high-speed mobile data can be delivered using 60GHz mmW. Contents of the invention [0005] Methods and systems are described herein for millimeter wave...
