Abstract

The invention discloses an index prediction method and device. The method includes the steps of determining multiple comparison time sequences identical to multiple second windows in length from history time sequences of first windows; in the comparison time sequences, separately selecting an assigned quantity of comparison time sequences most similar to each base time sequence; according to the assigned quantity of comparison time sequences most similar to each base time sequence, separately determining prediction results of third window indexes; according to the history time sequences, determining the accuracy rate of each prediction result, and selecting the prediction result with the highest accuracy rate as the final prediction result of the third window indexes. In this way, influences of standard window length on the prediction result are reduced, correspondingly the requirement for trend consistency of standard windows and the history time sequences is lowered, and the accuracyof the prediction result is improved.
