The method includes the following steps that an intelligent driving functionof an intelligent driving vehicle is started; whether a traffic light exists within the set distance in the advancing direction of the intelligent driving vehicle or not is detected, and if the traffic light exists within the set distance, the intelligent driving vehicle receives information of the positions and the speeds of the own vehicle and a front vehicle and the state of the traffic lightat the same time; the expected accelerated speed and the expected speed of the intelligent driving vehicle for passing through the traffic light are generated, and the intelligent driving vehicle passes through the intersection traffic light according to the expected accelerated speed and the expected speed; and whether a traffic light exists within the set distance in the advancing direction of the intelligent driving vehicle or not is detected continuously.
