The multi-view vehicle data recorder comprises a wide-angle camera, a binocular stereo camera, an image analysis processor and a memory, wherein the wide-angle camera and the binocular stereo camera are respectively used for acquiring wide-angle images and stereoimages of targets in front of automobiles; the image analysis processor is used for carrying out target detection on the stereo images so as to obtain target distance information of the detected targets, and re-projecting the detected targets in the stereo images into the wide-angle images according to an image registration result between the wide-angle images and the stereo image so as to obtaintarget recognition information of the detected targets.
