Abstract

The invention relates to a method for measuring position information of a carrier relative to the sun by using a sun sensor, the method is based on the new sun sensor for measuring the velocity difference of the edge of the sun, and the new sun sensor can simultaneously acquire the apparent direction of the sun and the included angle theta of the apparent direction of the sun and the rotation axisof the sun. The sun sensor uses four spectrometers to measure the velocity difference between two sets of mutually-perpendicular points on the disk edge of the sun, and obtains the apparent directionof the sun from the direction of the central axis. Based on a solar rotation model and a projection principle, a function relationship between the velocity difference and the included angle theta ofthe apparent direction of the sun and the rotation axis of the sun is established, and the included angle theta can be solved. Compared with a traditional sun sensor which can only provide the attitude information of the carrier relative to the sun, the sun sensor can also provide the position information of the carrier relative to the sun.
