Abstract

A lithium ion battery electrolyte include an organic solvent, a lithium salt, and a polymer additive including a copolymer or a homopolymer of aryl-containing diisocyanate is provided to overcome that problem of poor effect of reducing moisture and free acid in a lithium ion battery electrolyte in the prior art. At the same time, the invention also provides a lithium ion battery adopting the electrolyte.The lithium ion battery using the electrolyte provided by the invention has low moisture content and free acid content, stable cycle performance at 45 DEG C, no swelling when stored in an oven at 60DEG C, small change in internal resistance, and good storage performance and cycle performance.
