Abstract

The invention discloses a wave energy power generation system and method. Wave energy is used for generating electricity. The wave energy power generation system includes a floating device, a linear generator and a guide assembly. During the wave rising stage, the floating device driven by waves drives a mover of the linear generator to move upward to generate the electricity, and at this time, fluid can enter a fluid accommodating portion of the floating device; and during the wave declining stage, the fluid accommodating portion can stop the fluid which enters the fluid accommodating portionfrom flowing out of the fluid accommodating portion, and the gravitational potential energy of the floating device and the gravitational potential energy of the fluid accommodated in the fluid accommodating portion simultaneously act as driving energy of the mover so as to drive the mover to move downward to generate the electricity. The wave energy power generation system and method can fully utilize the energy contained in the waves so as to improve the efficiency of wave energy generation.
