An ABS module provides a vehicle speed signal to a finished vehicle electronic control unit; the finished vehicle electronic control unit analyses the travelled distance of a vehicle according to the vehicle speed signal transmitted by the ABS module; an electronic control unit module of the engine obtains the travelled distance of the vehicle, a preset engine external characteristic curve chart is inquired, a current correction factor of the engine is obtained, and the maximum torque of the engine under the current rotation speed is calculated based on a universal characteristic curve of the engine; according to the current maximum torque of the engine, an automatic transmission judges whether the maximum torque output by the engine can meet the current traveling driving force of the vehicle; and the gear calculatedby the automatic transmission is made more reasonable.
