Abstract

A household treatment instrument comprises a processor for operating a connection agent and has an on mode and an off mode, wherein when the connection agent is in an on mode, the processor can exchange data with a system concentrator located at a remote location of a patient's home or residence, wherein data received from the system concentrator includes a device program, the device program including a plurality of parameters, the processor operates the home treatment instrument with the parameters to perform home treatment. When the connection agent is in an off mode, the processor cannot exchange data with the system concentrator. The household treatment instrument further comprises a user interface to receive a patient's selection of a device program received from the system concentrator, and a pump that performs a home treatment according to the selected device program under the control of the processor.
