Abstract

The invention discloses a twelve-phase motor based fault tolerance operation control method and device of a flywheel energy storage system. The method comprises when a fault occurs in one phase of thetwelve-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), the fault phase is cut off, a residual winding in a three-phase winding corresponding to the fault phase is equivalent to a single-phase PMSM,and the three-phase winding of the phase without fault is equivalent to three three-phase PMSMs; a mathematic model of the one equivalent single-phase PMSM in a rest frame is established, and operation of the equivalent single-phase PMSM is controlled in an adaptive quasi-PR control method; and the weak magnetic current of the three three-phase PMSMs is controlled to generate a magnetic resistancetorque, the magnetic resistance torque compensates the power fluctuation and amplitude loss generated by operation of the equivalent single-phase PMSM, so that fault tolerance operation control is carried out on the flywheel energy storage system. The method can be used to ensure smooth switching from normal operation to fault tolerance operation, power is kept unchanged before and after switching, and the method is easy to realize.
