Abstract

The invention provides an oil-in-water emulsion composition for carbon dioxide aerosol and an aerosol cosmetic material, which can inhibit skin irritation even in the presence of carbon dioxide gas, have good moisturizing property and no sticky feeling when being applied to the skin, and can form good foam. The oil-in-water emulsion composition comprises: an oily component that contains silicone,a higher alcohol, and a hydrocarbon that is solid at room temperature; and an aqueous component. The total content of the oily components is 6 mass% or more relative to the total amount of the oil-in-water emulsion composition. The oil-in-water emulsion composition is an oil-in-water emulsion composition for an aerosol cosmetic, which contains a carbon dioxide gas as a spray.
