Methods, apparatus and systems for personal care, such as treatment of a skin or hair treatment surface, are disclosed. In some embodiments, a base device is configured to thermally modify (heat or cool) an applicator on a hand piece that can then be used to cleanse, treat and/or otherwise rejuvenate the treatment surface. The applicator can be formulated with a smooth or abrasive material that can absorb, be coated with or otherwise take up a variety of materials, such as liquids, lotions, gels or creams, which are suitable for application to the treatment surface. The base device may thermally modify the material that is then coupled to the applicator and applied to the treatment surface during treatment. Application of the applicator at the desired temperature to the treatment surface may, for example, stimulate deeper blood circulation, clear pores, diminishes or removes deep and fine wrinkles, accelerate acne clearing, treat blemished skin, decrease edema and erythema of the skin, and/or reduce puritis of various etiologies. The hand piece may comprise one or more secondary treatment elements, such as LEDs for photoactivation, electrodes for delivery of micro-currents or vibrating elements for rubbing or abraiding, in order to achieve additional activation of the treatment surface and/or of the thermally modified material coupled to the applicator, which may enhance or improve treatment.

The invention provides an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) brain tumor localization and intratumoral segmentation method based on a deep cascaded convolution network, which comprises the steps of building a deep cascaded convolution network segmentation model; performing model training and parameter optimization; and carrying out fast localization and intratumoral segmentation on a multi-modal MRIbrain tumor. According to the MRI brain tumor localization and intratumoral segmentation method provided by the invention based on the deep cascaded convolution network, a deep cascaded hybrid neuralnetwork formed by a full convolution neural network and a classified convolution neural network is constructed, the segmentation process is divided into a complete tumor region localization phase andan intratumoral sub-region localization phase, and hierarchical MRI brain tumor fast and accurate localization and intratumoral sub-region segmentation are realized. Firstly, the complete tumor region is localized from an MRI image by adopting a full convolution network method, and then the complete tumor is further divided into an edema region, a non-enhanced tumor region, an enhanced tumor region and a necrosis region by adopting an image classification method, and accurate localization for the multi-modal MRI brain tumor and fast and accurate segmentation for the intratumoral sub-regions are realized.

Devices that employ external compression stocking-type garments in the treatment of edema, chronic wounds, deep venous thrombosis prevention or claudication all share a number of significant limitations. These include the frequent need for custom fitting to assure an appropriate fit, vigilant maintenance to assure a continued “good fit,” limited compliance with proper use by patients and difficulty of application. There is a large body of evidence demonstrating that patients often decline to wear the compressive stockings as prescribed or in the form that would be most beneficial because they find these devices to be difficult to put on and take off.Building on the limitations of existing therapies, and distilled lessons learned from the field of prosthetics and wound healing, the present invention employs vacuum-assisted negative pressure to provide compression and help pump fluid from the tissues of affected limbs. The device is embodied in the form of a flexible stocking-like garment that will utilize a pumping mechanism to generate negative pressure around the limb and thus create vacuum compression that will mobilize fluid in a limb and increase venous return to the heart. Through the use of a circumferential wrap, the present invention provides a major advance in both the distribution of vacuum and the securing of the device over the limb.
