A vertical stability enhancing mechanism, a gimbal device and an image capturing system. The vertical stability enhancing mechanism (22) comprises a load connecting portion (80) for connection with a load, a connecting mechanism, an elastic member (50), a position adjusting motor (38) and an elastic member adjusting mechanism. One end of the connecting mechanism is connected to a support member (10), and the other end thereof is connected to the load connecting portion (80), enabling the load connecting portion (80) to move with respect to the support member (10) in a vertical direction. The elastic member (50) acts on the connecting mechanism so as to provide the connecting mechanism with a balancing force to support and balance the weight of the load. The elastic member adjusting mechanism comprises a mounting portion (365) connected to an end portion (52) of the elastic member (50). The position adjusting motor (38) can drive the mounting portion (365) and the end portion (52) to move so as to adjust the balancing force provided by the elastic member (50) to the connecting mechanism.
