Abstract

The invention relates to a method for identifying a fiber-reinforced plastic component, comprising the steps of providing a fiber preform (1), applying a label (2) to the fiber preform (1) and holdingit in place, inserting the preform (1) together with the label (2) in a mold (3) and closing the mold (3), infiltrating the preform (1) with a plastic compound and curing it in the closed mold (3). In order to reliably identify the plastic component, the label (2) comes to rest on a flow aid portion (8), formed on the inner tool wall (5) and having at least one channel-type recess (10-24), the longitudinal extension of said flow aid portion projecting beyond the label (2). The invention also relates to an RTM tool for carrying out said method.

Background technique [0002] The resin transfer molding process (Resin Transfer Moulding, RTM process) is well known for the production of fiber-reinforced plastic components. Here, the unimpregnated fiber semi-finished product is placed in a forming tool. The mostly two-part forming tool forms the outer contour of the fiber-reinforced plastic component as a female mold. After the forming mold is closed, a reactive plastic material, such as a system comprising epoxy resin and curing agent, is injected into the cavity of the forming mold. During injection, the plastic material flows through the fiber layer.
