Abstract

The invention provides an ink removing apparatus capable of removing ink attached to a discharge surface of an inkjet head. The pressing unit supports a liquid absorbing member having a property of absorbing ink. The drive mechanism presses the liquid-absorbing member against a discharge surface of the inkjet head that discharges the droplet-formed ink from a plurality of nozzle holes provided inthe discharge surface.
