Abstract

The invention relates to a measurement device and measurement method for measuring the separation characteristic of a clutch. The measurement device comprises a power mechanism, a force application assembly, a fixing assembly, a force measurement module and a displacement measurement module, wherein the fixing assembly is detachably arranged on the clutch and comprises a plurality of fixing rods which are arranged along the circumferential direction of a clutch cover; the force application assembly is movably arranged on the fixing assembly and is provided with a force application part used for applying force to a separating finger of the clutch; a fixed end of the power mechanism and the fixing rods are fixedly arranged; a movable end of the power mechanism is connected to the force application assembly to drive the force application assembly to move, thereby pushing and pulling the separating finger; in the process that the force application assembly pushes and pulls the separating finger, the force measurement module measures the magnitude of force transferred to the separating finger from the power mechanism; and the displacement measurement module measures displacement of an output end of the power mechanism or displacement of the force application assembly. The separation characteristic of the clutch can be measured by using the measurement device without removal of the clutch or use of a special tooling and a work platform.
