Abstract

A display device with a built-in optical image sensor is provided, which includes a display panel, a cover substrate, and an optical image sensor. The cover substrate has light transmissivity and covers the display panel. The optical image sensor is coupled to the display panel and senses an image of a body of a user using light reflected from the body of the user in contact with the cover substrate. The display panel includes a base substrate, a pixel portion, an encapsulation film, and a touch sensing layer. The touch sensing layer includes the touch electrode portion and is disposed on theencapsulation film covering a pixel portion. A plurality of pinholes are defined in at least one layer having light absorptivity or light reflectivity of the pixel portion. The plurality of pinholes overlap the optical image sensor. Further, openings overlapping the plurality of pinholes are defined in the touch electrode portion.
