The method comprises the steps that target software packages to be classified are acquired; acquiring control information of the target software package; acquiring type information of the target software package based on the control information; comparing the type information with a type library, and judging whether a type corresponding to the type information exists in the type library or not; if yes, importing the target software package into a software sequence corresponding tothe type; if not, newly establishing a new type corresponding to the type information in the type library, and importing the target software package into a software sequence of the new type; updatingthe type library; and issuing a software package type classification result report.
