Problems solved by technology

[0006] Realizing this vast amount of unused computing power and sensor data poses significant technical challenges, including but not limited to orchestration issues (e.g., interrupting processing tasks among many small processors) and security issues, such as protecting user privacy and Preventing abuse of a device's sensors and processing capabilities, such as by secretly recording in-house conversations or co-opting the device's processing resources and network connections (e.g., turning the device into a "spambot")

Embodiment Construction

[0025] discussed below Figure 1 to Figure 6 The various embodiments used in this patent document to describe the principles of the disclosure are by way of illustration only and should not be construed in any way to limit the scope of the disclosure. Those skilled in the art will understand that the principles of the present disclosure may be implemented in any suitably arranged wireless communication system.

[0026] figure 1 An example of a network context 100 including a command center and heterogeneous processing nodes is illustrated in accordance with certain embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0027] According to some embodiments, the network context 100 includes a command center 105, one or more machines 110a, 110b, 110c, and 110d providing an interface layer, one or more networks 115, and heterogeneous processing nodes 120a, 120b, 120c, 120d, and 120e.

[0028] exist figure 1In a non-limiting example, command center 105 is a management server, such as a Hewle...

Abstract

A method for distributed processing includes receiving a job bundle at a command center comprising a processor, a network interface, and a memory. The method includes determining a value of a dimension of the job bundle, determining, based on a predetermined rule applied to the determined value of the dimension of the job bundle, an aggregate processing cost for the job bundle and identifying oneor more available member devices communicatively connected to the command center via the network interface. Additionally, the method includes the operations of splitting the job bundle into one or more threads based on at least one of the determined value of the dimension, the aggregate processing cost or the available member devices, apportioning a thread of the one or more threads to a member device and transmitting, via the network interface, the apportioned thread to a secure processing environment of the member device.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Application Serial No. 62 / 637,267, filed March 1, 2018. This provisional application is hereby incorporated by reference as if reproduced in its entirety below. technical field [0003] This disclosure relates generally to distributed computing and the Internet of Things (IoT). More specifically, the present disclosure relates to systems and methods for secure distributed processing across a network of heterogeneous processing nodes. Background technique [0004] In both the public environment (e.g., street lights, traffic signals, electric meters) and the home (e.g., Internet-connected lights, home automation systems, media streaming platforms), processors sometimes referred to as the “Internet of Things” (IoT) The resulting growth in control over non-computing devices offers enormous, untapped opportunities for the collection and processing of data, at least a...
