Abstract

The invention discloses a battery tester. The battery tester comprises a test signal circuit which comprises a first capacitor; a response sensing circuit and an arc suppression circuit. The arc suppression circuit includes a first resistor and a control switch coupled in parallel with each other, and a control circuit. The control circuit is configured to: detect information indicating an accessimpedance value between a first test signal terminal and a second test signal terminal, and receive information indicating a measured impedance value between the first response sensing terminal and the second response sensing terminal from an impedance measurement circuit in the response sensing circuit; the control circuit controls the battery tester to work in a measurement mode or a non-measurement mode according to the access impedance value and the measurement impedance value, and in the non-measurement mode, the control circuit controls the control switch to be switched off, so that thetest current flows through a to-be-tested battery through the first resistor; and in the measurement mode, the control circuit controls the control switch to be closed, so that the test current flowsthrough the to-be-tested battery through the closed control switch.
