Problems solved by technology

For example, in real-time video communication remote driving, late video packets are unavailable and should be discarded; however, packet schedulers in network functions (such as (R)AN nodes) may still deliver late packets
Transmitting late packets that should be discarded wastes radio resources

Abstract

An aspect of the present invention provides a method performed by a PCF for handling delayed packets in a mobile wireless network. The method includes receiving information related to a packet processing policy (PHP) parameter of a PDU session; and sending the PHP to other network functions to instruct devices in a user plane of the mobile wireless network how to handle delayed packets.
