Abstract

The invention discloses an error analysis method for detecting atmospheric visibility by a digital camera. According to the method, a brightness gain error and a brightness zero point error are obtained according to the brightness accuracy of a camera and the dynamic range of a system, and the distance between the camera and a target board, the sky background brightness and the theoretical visibility value are set, and are substituted into a visibility measurement model to calculate and obtain a target brightness theoretical value; a visibility relative error caused by a target brightness gain error and a visibility relative error caused by a target brightness zero error are respectively calculated through the brightness gain error and the brightness zero error of the camera; and the visibility relative error caused by the sky background brightness gain error and the visibility relative error caused by the sky background brightness zero point error are synthesized into the total relative error of the atmospheric visibility.
