Abstract

The invention provides an identity recognition device and a method thereof. The method comprises: obtaining at least one to-be-recognized image; performing feature extraction on at least one of the to-be-recognized images to obtain a to-be-recognized feature vector; based on the to-be-recognized feature vector, screening from a plurality of candidate objects in a database to obtain at least one candidate object matched with the to-be-recognized object; processing at least one of the to-be-recognized images to obtain at least one to-be-recognized feature image; and based on the at least one to-be-recognized feature image, determining a target object matched with the to-be-recognized object from the at least one candidate object. According to the method disclosed by the invention, the preliminary screening based on the to-be-identified feature vector and the matching based on the feature image are combined, so that the reliability of the matching result is improved while the matching efficiency is improved.
