Abstract

A connector includes a terminal having a base plate portion and a pair of elastic curl portions; a connector housing having a terminal accommodating chamber; a flexible locking piece provided on a first wall of facing walls of the terminal accommodating chamber; a recessed groove provided on a second wall of the facing walls, extending from a rear side of the connector housing toward a front side of the connector housing along a terminal insertion direction of the terminal, and having a groove width smaller than a width of the base plate portion; and a contact surface formed at a front end portion of the recessed groove. When the terminal is reversely inserted, tip end contact portions of the elastic curl portions are brought into contact with the contact surface to prevent the terminal from being inserted further.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to a connector. Background technique [0002] A connector for connecting a wire harness of an automobile or the like includes a terminal having conductivity and a connector housing formed of a synthetic resin for accommodating the terminal (for example, see JP-A-2001-257022). [0003] The connector housing is formed with a terminal accommodating chamber and a lance (flexible lock) provided in such a manner as to protrude into the terminal accommodating chamber. In addition, ribs are integrally formed with the lance in such a manner as to protrude into the terminal accommodating chamber. [0004] The terminal includes a substrate portion having a substantially spatula shape, a pair of elastic crimp portions formed on a front side of the substrate portion, and a pair of conductor crimping portions and a pair of covering crimping portions formed on a rear side of the substrate portion. [0005] In the connector, when the t...
