Abstract

The invention discloses a mobile robot automatic charging method based on a laser radar. The method specifically comprises the following steps that 1, a positioning navigation system is called to enable a robot to move to the position near a charging pile; step 2, identifying the charging pile by using a laser radar; step 3, carrying out pose calculation on the identified charging pile; 4, a controller is called to generate a speed instruction, and the robot is controlled to be in butt joint with the charging pile; and step 5, completing docking, and starting charging. According to the method, a robot is automatically optimized and navigated to the vicinity of a nearest charging pile by using a positioning navigation system, then a laser radar is used as a sensing module to identify the charging pile, pose calculation is carried out after successful identification, the robot is controlled to be in butt joint with the charging pile and is charged, and a charging mode is automatically quitted after charging is completed.
