The invention relates to an active stylus, a charging method thereof and a mobile computing device using the same. The charging method of the active stylus includes the following steps. An active stylus emits a wireless signal to a touch display panel of a mobile computing device to obtain a posture or a position of the active stylus relative to the mobile computing device. The active touch pen comprises a solar panel. Determining a light-emitting area of the mobile computing device according to the posture or position of the active touch pen relative to the mobile computing device; a light-emitting unit of the computing device is moved to emit light in the light-emitting area, so that a solar panel of the active stylus receives the light and charges a battery of the active stylus.
