Abstract

A rotor according to an embodiment is a rotor that is provided to a motor, faces a stator, and rotates about a rotation axis. The rotor includes first magnets and second magnets alternately arranged in a circumferential direction. One of the first magnet and the second magnet is a main magnet, and the other is an auxiliary magnet. The main magnets are magnetically oriented in the radial direction. The auxiliary magnets are magnetically oriented in the circumferential direction. The first magnet has a pair of first circumferential end surfaces. The pair of first circumferential end faces respectively face two circumferential sides. The second magnet has a pair of second peripheral end surfaces. The pair of second circumferential end faces respectively face two circumferential sides. The second peripheral end surface is in surface contact with the first peripheral end surface of the adjacent first magnet.
