Abstract

The invention discloses a portable electronic accessory and a removable control pack. The portable electronic accessory includes a battery configured to provide battery power, a control slot configured to receive the removable control pack, and a power circuit configured to transfer at least a portion of the battery power to the removable control pack to power the removable control pack. The removable control package is configured to control operation of the portable electronic accessory. The removable control packet includes an input / output (I / O) pin and one or more communication radio frequency circuits. The I / O pin is configured to interface with a pin of the control slot, electrically connect to the pin of the control slot when the removable control packet is received into the control slot, and receive battery power from a battery of the portable electronic accessory. The one or more communication radio frequency circuits are configured to provide wireless communication capabilities to the portable electronic accessory.
