Embodiment Construction

[0053] figure 2 In one embodiment of the present invention, a method for outputting a demodulated data corresponding to a data packet, the form of the data packet selectively conforms to one of N wireless local area network (WLAN) standards, N is an integer greater than 1 . In step 201, a preamble code is received. After the preamble code is received, a single circuit is provided for identifying the WLAN standard of the data packet among N wireless local area network (WLAN) standards according to the preamble code, and outputting an identification signal to indicate an identification result. In order to execute the identification procedure, the single circuit determines whether the WLAN standard of the data packet conforms to one of the N wireless local area network (WLAN) standards, and respectively outputs N determination signals to indicate N determination results. To perform the decision procedure, the single circuit performs delayed correlation of the preamble codes (...

Abstract

This invention provides a single circuit and a method for WLAN standard capable of identifying a data packet or a modulation way. The circuit includes shift buffer memory, N deciders and a decision logic device. Said shift buffer memory is provided to receive the time field of said front codes. Every decider decides if the WLAN standard of said data packet is in conformity with one of the WLAN standards or decides if the modulation way is in conformity with one of the N modulation ways. Said decision logic device decides the WLAN standard of said data packet or its modulation way.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to wireless communication, in particular to a method and device for receiving a data packet. Background technique [0002] The 802.11 standard formulated by the International Institute of Electrical and Electronics (IEEE) includes wireless local area network (hereinafter referred to as WLAN) standards for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands. The 802.11b standard defines multiple data rates in the 2.4GHz frequency band, including 1Mbps, 2Mbps, 5.5Mbps and 11Mbps. The 802.11b standard utilizes a 1 μs direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) preamble and uses a clock cycle of 11 MHz to modulate data. In addition to the data rate of 802.11b, 802.11g also defines higher data rates such as 6Mbps, 9Mbps, 12Mbps, 18Mbps, 24Mbps, 36Mbps, 48Mbps, and 54Mbps in the 2.4GHz frequency band, and uses an orthogonal frequency Multi-division technique (OFDM). The preamble code contains 10 short periods (0.8 μs each) and 2 long periods, and u...
