Problems solved by technology

[0004] In the above-mentioned conventional wiring, because the wires at both ends of the assembly circuit must be connected with the electrical devices inside the handlebar cover such as instrumentation and switches after the electrical devices and the handlebar cover are fixed; so there are some disadvantages, the wiring of the wires and The unwiring process is cumbersome and increases assembly man-hours
In addition, since the front cover and the rear cover can only be connected after the wiring process is completed, this increases the possibility of reducing work efficiency
Another disadvantage is that assembled circuits are prone to tangling and winding during wiring, which may reduce assembly efficiency and increase the possibility of short circuits, open circuits, and misconnections

Embodiment Construction

[0035] will now refer to Figures 1 to 13 The first embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail.

[0036] figure 1 It is a rear view of a small motorcycle. The rear portion of the handlebar of the car is covered with a handlebar rear cover 1 made of synthetic resin, and a left handle 2 and a right handle 3 are stretched out from both ends of the rear cover 1 .

[0037] figure 2 It is an enlarged view of the outside of the handlebar rear cover 1 (the driver can see this side), and a meter device 5 is arranged in the middle thereof, and a transparent meter cover 4 is covered on the meter device 5 . The instrumentation device 5 includes a speedometer 6 , a fuel gauge 7 , an odometer 8 , a speed warning light 9 , a turn indicator light 10 and a fuel quantity warning light 11 . The right end of the handlebar rear cover 1 has a starter switch Ss, a dimmer switch Sd at its left end, a direction indicator switch Sw and a whistle switch Sh. The electrical parts...

Abstract

An housing of a meter unit is inserted from above into a meter unit support hole which is provided in the rear handle cover. Engagement claws of the housing are engaged with claw receiving portions of the rear handle cover, thereby prevent the housing from coming out. Male connector is provided beforehand in the rear handle cover, and inserting the housing of the meter unit into the meter unit support hole causes the female connector of the housing to be automatically connected to the male connector, thus completing the wiring work of the meter unit. The wiring work on the meter unit supported on the rear handle cover of the motorcycle can therefore be performed easily and reliably.

Description

[0001] This application is a divisional application of the application number 98122992.1 filed by the applicant on December 1, 1998. technical field [0002] The invention relates to a wiring device and a wiring method for motorcycles, which are used to electrically connect electrical components fixed on the handlebar cover of the motorcycle, such as instrument devices and switches, with wires installed in the handlebar cover. Background technique [0003] Wiring of electrical components such as instrumentation devices and switches provided on the handlebar cover of a motorcycle has been realized by using an assembly circuit (see Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open Specification No. 60-244680 as an example). [0004] In the above-mentioned conventional wiring, because the wires at both ends of the assembly circuit must be connected with the electrical devices inside the handlebar cover such as instrumentation and switches after the electrical devices and the handlebar cover...
