Embodiment Construction

[0017] Such as figure 1 As shown, hand comb 10 is a generally flat, elongated tool having a first end 12 (ie, first elongated end), a second end 14 (ie, second elongated end), and an intermediate portion 16 . The comb 10 is generally symmetrical about an origin 18 , a vertical axis 20 and a horizontal axis 22 . This axis 22 forms the longitudinal center of the comb 10 .

[0018] The first end portion 12 has an inner edge 24 (ie, a first edge) along a horizontal axis 22 , and an outer edge 26 (ie, a second edge) opposite the inner edge 24 . A plurality of first comb teeth 28 extend away from the shaft 22 from the inner edge 24 to the outer edge 26 . The inner edge 24 has a structure that provides sufficient strength for the comb and the teeth. A relatively wider outer end piece 30 is disposed at the outer end of the first end portion 12 , while an inner end piece 32 is disposed at the inner end of the first end portion 12 . The inner end piece 32 is adjacent the middle port...

Abstract

A hand-held comb has a set of fine teeth and a set of coarse teeth joined by a center section. The center section preferably has an opening large enough for a finger. The fine teeth and coarse teeth extend in opposite directions away from a longitudinal axis. Some or all of the teeth can have at least one undulation, to remove loose hair and at least some of the teeth can have barbs, to remove partially cut hair strands. The teeth can have sharp edges, which also remove partially cut hair strands.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a comb, and more particularly to a comb having wavy teeth and / or barbs on the teeth, finger rings for ease of use, and fine and coarse teeth facing in opposite directions. Background technique [0002] Traditional combs are sometimes used to remove loose hair after a haircut, but they leave some severed hair on the head. Thus, there is a need for a comb that is better at removing more of this broken hair. [0003] When cutting hair, there are often partially severed hair strands after the haircut, which is not desired. There is also a need for a comb capable of removing partially severed hair strands. [0004] A conventional comb has a straight set of fine teeth, and a separate set of coarse teeth directly adjacent to the fine teeth. All fine and coarse teeth face the same direction. Users typically hold the back of a conventional comb and pinch the comb, which can tire the person and even cause overuse injuries. T...
