Embodiment Construction

[0015] exist figure 1 In the particular embodiment shown, the educational game device comprises a game board 1 designed to cooperate with or without wire, preferably via an HF (Ultra High Frequency) link, with a computer 2 constituting an external display and management means. Overlaying the board 1 is a preferably flexible and removable play liner 3 . The fact that the game liners are interchangeable makes it easy to switch from one game to another. Board 1 contains at least one game area. exist figure 1 In the illustrated embodiment, the first play area is designed for the movement of different objects 4 constituted by pawns or figurines. A second game area forms a card tray 5 for reading cards 6 , while a third game area 7 delineates a space for throwing at least one dice 8 .

[0016] The players 9 themselves are located around the game board and equipped with game pads corresponding to the selected game. Pieces or figurines 4, cards 6 and dice 8 constitute a communica...

Abstract

The invention relates to a game set which comprises communicating elements, in the form of pieces, figurines, cards or dice, each having a radio-frequency tag provided with an individual identification code. A game board comprises a digital processing circuit (15) which is connected to a plurality of antennas (14), arranged such as to form a sensor matrix, for detecting the presence, type and position of the communicating elements. Radio-frequency readers (131 to 13m) are respectively connected to m corresponding input / output terminals of the digital processing circuit (15). Each radio-frequency reader (13) is connected to an associated group of n antennas (141 to 14n), preferably by means of a corresponding multiplexer (161 to 16m). The game board may consist of a removable assembly of basic boards, each comprising a basic digital processing circuit which is connected to the antennas (14) of the corresponding basic board.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an electronic educational game device comprising a communication unit and a game board, wherein each communication unit has a radio frequency tag provided with a personal identification number and the game board contains a digital processing circuit connected to a plurality of antennas which are controlled by Arranged to form a matrix of sensors for detecting the presence, type and location of the communication unit. Background technique [0002] In most electronic games, the player is located in front of a console or computer and performs man-machine communication by means of a keyboard, mouse, joystick, or touch screen. He may be able to play via a network, for example via the Internet, with other players who have their own computers and are connected to the same communication network. [0003] Furthermore, document WO-A-9526790 proposes a combination of a game board and a piece equipped with a transponder communicat...
