Abstract

In a suction device for the compressed air of a stretching tool, the stretching tool has a subsequent air dynamic compression of a sinning machine. The suction device has at least one exchangeable suction unit with a suction zone for sucking out fiber residue-containing used compressed air. The suction device is designed in such a manner that the suction device is positioned below a limited section of the air flow zone of a movable, air-permeable guiding surface for fiber rovings of the stretching tool through the connection motion. The suction device also has a suction tube with at least one suction unit, and by means of the suction tube, the sucked compressed air sucked via the suction unit is released from the suction device. A releasable bolt is included to fix the at least one suction unit in an operating position at the side of the axis of the suction tube in the bolted condition; and in a released condition allows movement of the suction unit between its operating position and an exchange position different from the operating position. The suction device is characterized in that the suction unit is directly coupled with the suction tube in the bolted condition, and the suction tube (62) is configured to be a branching tube having two suction holes (63, 64) at the end part, thus the two suction units can be directly coupled to the suction tube.
