Abstract

The disclosed illuminator and method is suitable to a display unit of possessing a backboard and a backlight module. The illuminator includes at least an identifier, a power supply module, and a luminescence module. The identifier is setup on the backboard. The power supply module is setup adjacent to the backlight module in order to absorb a back light source of the backlight module to generate an electrical source. Being setup near to the identifier, the luminescence module receives a light source generated from power supply, and casts light beam to the identifier.
