Benefits of technology

"The present invention provides a bagging apparatus that can efficiently and safely vacuum-package large products in bags. It is designed to prevent microcracks and air inside the bags, and can package products in standardized and uniform sizes. The apparatus is simple and easy to use, and has a low cost. It includes a bag compaction chamber and a bell with a filter probe that creates vacuum inside the bag. The apparatus can also heat-seal the bag and provide final closure of the mouth, which remains unsoiled by the product."

Problems solved by technology

These bags can attain even substantial dimensions and weights, and therefore their storage is often problematic.
However, it is noted that currently this type of apparatus, as well as other types of apparatus currently in use, have objective limitations related first of all to production rates, which with current methods for producing vacuum in the bags have certainly become too slow in relation to market requirements.
Secondly, the apparatuses currently in use tend to leave inside the filled bags holes or labyrinths, which even if they are very small cause the loss of the air and of part of a product and further leave inside the bags an amount of air which is often not tolerable and causes product deterioration.
In bags filled without holes or labyrinths, the apparatuses currently in use leave inside such bags an amount of air and / or gas that does not allow to palletize them and causes the deterioration of the product inside.
Thirdly, the shape, geometry and dimensions of the bags currently used is usually irregular, and this entails that their storage and transport are rather problematic and unsafe.
Fourthly, finally, with the apparatuses currently in use the bags, made of polythene (or other similar material), are heat-sealed at the top, after filling and vacuum generation, at a portion of the bag that has been soiled by the product during filling and vacuum production: accordingly, the quality of such heat-seal is certainly not ideal.

Embodiment Construction

[0022] With reference to FIG. 1, the reference numeral 1 generally designated a bagging apparatus particularly for granular and / or powdery products according to the invention.

[0023] The bagging apparatus, described hereinafter in a possible non-exclusive embodiment thereof, is in particular of the type suitable to vacuum-package granular and / or powdery products in bags of the type with an open mouth or of the type formed continuously from a reel, generally designated by the reference numeral 2, the mouth of which is designated by the reference numeral 2a. Such bags are preferably made of a material such as laminated polythene or the like, but actually can be made of any material that has suitable physical and / or mechanical characteristics. Moreover, it is noted that the bags can have any geometry or size, which are chosen in each instance in relation to the type of product to be packaged, to the storage conditions, to the methods of transport, and others.

Abstract

A bagging apparatus, particularly for granular and / or powdery products, of the type adapted to vacuum-package granular and / or powdery products in bags, comprising at least one compaction chamber for the bag, in which at least one of the walls is movable and is adapted to apply a pressure to a surface of the bag, so as to expel therefrom the contained air and / or gases and compact the product, and at least one bell, which is provided with at least one filter probe, which is connected to air and / or gas suction elements and is adapted to produce vacuum inside the bag, the bell being associated with elements for bidirectional translational motion from an inactive retracted position to a suction position, in which the bell is at least partially inserted in a mouth of the bag so as to adhere perimetrically to an internal surface of the bag, elements being further provided for heat-sealing the mouth in the portion arranged in contact with the bell, the sealing elements being adapted to provide a final closure of the mouth of the bag along the internal surface thereof, which has remained unsoiled by the product.

Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a bagging apparatus particularly for granular and / or powdery products and the like. The apparatus is suitable to remove air and / or gas present inside a bag filled with granular and / or powdery product and heat-seal it without the bag reacquiring air or gas from the outside, so as to obtain a vacuum which is adjustable according to the requirements of the product. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0002] Equipment and machines that provide vacuum packaging of products of various kinds in the form of granules and powders are known and widespread in the industrial field. Packaging usually occurs in bags made of an appropriately selected material, for example laminated polythene or other materials having similar characteristics; these bags are filled completely and closed at the top after vacuum has been produced inside them, so as to minimize space occupation and preserve the characteristics of the product. These bags can attain even substantial dimensi...
