An emboli capturing system captures emboli in a body lumen. A first elongate member has a proximal end and a distal end. An expandable emboli capturing device is mounted proximate the distal end of the first elongate member, and is movable between a radially expanded position and a radially contracted position. When in the expanded position, the emboli capturing device forms a basket with a proximally opening mouth. A second elongate member has a proximal and a distal end with a lumen extending therebetween. The lumen is sized to slidably receive a portion of the first elongate member. An expandable delivery device is mounted to the distal end of the second elongate member and is movable from a radially retracted position to a radially expanded position. The delivery device has a receiving end configured to receive the emboli capturing device, and retains at least the mouth of the emboli capturing device in a radially retracted position.

In a first aspect the present invention provides a screw-capped tube for holding a liquid material therein, the tube having an open mouth at one end only which is adapted to be closed by the screw cap with an inner end of the screw cap extending into the open mouth of the tube, an opposing end of the cap to the inner end of the cap being provided with a circular cylindrical recess extending thereinto and whereof the cylindrical wall of the recess is free of splines, an outer circumferential surface of the cap being provided with a spline whereby the cap is adapted to co-operatively engage with a spline of a tool that will fit on to said opposite end of the cap for rotation of the cap by co-operative engagement of the spline of the tool with the spline of the cap. This arrangement increases versatility and ease in de-capping and re-capping of the tubes. Further aspects also assist with this and / or improve seal efficiency and help to avoid the need for O ring sealing for cryogenic uses and other uses.

A container and sealable cover in which the container has a bottom wall and an upstanding peripheral wall terminating in an upper edge surrounding an open mouth. Instrument and method for removing material from an intervertebral disc. The instrument includes outer and inner tubular members. The outer tubular member defines a passage and a cutting window. The inner tubular member is coaxially disposed within the passage, and defines a central lumen and a cutting tip. The cutting tip forms an open mouth having a plurality of teeth. Upon assembly, the cutting tip is exposed within the cutting window combining to define a shaving head. A powered handpiece is coupled to the inner tubular member, and the shaving head is inserted into an intervertebral disc and positioned such that the cutting tip contacts targeted material (e.g., nucleus, annulus and / or end plate). The handpiece is activated to rotate the cutting tip relative to the cutting window. Contacted material is sheared between an edge of the cutting window and the teeth of the cutting tip.

A method of digitally adding the appearance of makeup to a videoconferencing participant. The system and method for applying digital make-up operates in a loop processing sequential video frames. For each input frame, there are typically three general steps: 1) Locating the face and eye and mouth regions; 2) Applying digital make-up to the face, preferably with the exception of the eye and open mouth areas; and 3) Blending the make-up region with the rest of the face. In one embodiment of the invention, the background in the frame containing a video conferencing participant can also be modified so that other video conferencing participants cannot clearly see the background behind the participant in the image frame. In one such embodiment of the invention, the video conferencing participant tries to make his or her own image look comical or altered. In another embodiment of the invention, a particular remote participant tries to make another participant look funny to the other participants.

A storage bag having a recloseable mouth, which is biased into an open configuration, is disclosed. The bag, typically manufactured from thermoplastic material such as low-density polyethylene, includes first and second adjacent layers joined or folded along bottom and side edges. The top edges are not folded or permanently joined, but are provided with closure members such as mating male and female zipper strips. The bag is further provided with structure to bias the top edges apart from one another thus biasing the mouth of the bag into an open configuration. The closure members are sufficiently strong to overcome the force of the biasing structure and thereby hold the bag closed when the closure members are engaged. However, upon disengagement of the closure members the biasing structure forces the bag top edges apart to thereby place the bag into an open mouth configuration.

A contact lens case includes a cup adapted to receive minimized quantity of cleaning solution and a cap removable of the opening mouth of the cup. The lens support structure is pivotally connected to the cap that holds one of a pair of lens within the cup. The lens support structure consists of a base plate where a pair of contact lenses lay on each side and is held by a pair of swiveling arms, one on each side. A cap has a plug portion, a seal plug and a sleeve. At the plug portion a side and a cylindrical wall project from a top board. An inner circumferential surface of the side wall fits on an outer circumferential surface of an opening portion of a vessel and covers the opening portion with the top board. The cylindrical wall forms a receiving chamber having an opening mouth at its under end face. The seal plug seals the opening mouth. The kyphoplasty cement encapsulation balloon is a flexible, resilient silicone balloon having a catheter or filling tube disposed inside the balloon. The filling tube has a closed end and a plurality of orifices defined in the tube radially. The tube has an open mouth extending through a hole in the balloon, defining an inflation port. The inflation port is internally threaded, and preferably has a radiopaque marker band extending around the port. The inflation port has a one-way duck or duckbill valve that closes the inflation port when the inflation cannula is detached from the port, thereby encapsulating the bone cement in the balloon and preventing leakage of the cement. The inflation cannula and the kyphoplasty cement encapsulation balloon may be furnished as a kit.

A thin profile wipe dispensing container is provided for dispensing wipes from the edge of a stack of wipes. The dispensing container has a contoured shape to minimize shelf space and integrate with any space and includes an angled container body and hinged lid that snaps shut. The lid is flush with the container body when closed providing the thin profile wipe dispensing container that may easily and economically be used, stored and transported. The container body may further include a removable bridge in an open mouth of the container body with a dispensing aperture through which the wipe may be drawn. The waste body (1) includes an open mouth (3) for receiving waste products from a floor grate or appliance, an outlet connected to said reservoir in communication with said mouth for connecting the waste assembly to a waste drainage line for eventual discharge of said waste, said waste body (1) also including a bearing surface (9) extending at least partially about the periphery of said waste body (1) and which is capable of supporting directly or indirectly a grate or appliance outlet; wherein said mouth (3) is proportioned to allow selective positioning of a grate or appliance outlet within said mouth within the limits of the periphery of the waste body such that said selective positioning of said grate or appliance outlet obviates the necessity for said appliance outlet or grate to align axially with or be directly connected to underfloor drainage plumbing.

A golf surface repair tool having a pair of legs for repairing a golfing surface following a shot is provided with internal implements that may be utilized as well. Specifically, the golf surface repair tool is fabricated utilizing at least three releasably interengageable body members. The legs of the repair tool extend from the first body member, which also defines an open mouth and a hollow cavity therewithin at its opposite end. The second body member has a closed end and an opposing open mouth and also defines at least one hollow cavity therewithin. A third body member is formed with a central base and a pair of pedestals which project from the base in opposite directions from each other. A protective bottle enclosure for enclosing and sealing a bottle with an open mouth carried within the enclosure. The enclosure includes a container having an upper portion and a base removably coupled to the upper portion, and an external cap applicable to the container in a seated position of the cap. In the seated position of the cap, the cap seals the open mouth of the bottle carried in the enclosure and forms an impermeable inner seal between the cap and the bottle. A stopper carried by the cap forms the impermeable inner seal between the cap and the bottle, and in the seated position of the cap, the cap is fully seated against the upper portion of the container and forms an impermeable outer seal between the cap and the container.
