TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to a plasmid for transformation used for the production of a transformed anaerobic bacterium useful as a gene transfer carrier for treating an anaerobic disease such as solid tumor, the plasmid comprising an expression cassette containing a secretory signal peptide that functions in the anaerobic bacterium, and the plasmid being a non-shuttle plasmid. The invention also relates to a gene transfer carrier consisting of an anaerobic bacterium which has been transformed with said transforming plasmid, and to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the gene transfer carrier, as well as to an agent for treating an anaerobic disease comprising the gene transfer carrier.
