Embodiment Construction

[0034]With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIG. 1 thereof, the preferred embodiment of the new and improved all-purpose pad system embodying the principles and concepts of the present invention and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

[0035]The present invention, the all-purpose pad system 10 is comprised of a plurality of components. Such components are individually configured and correlated with respect to each other so as to attain the desired objective. In their broadest context such include a body section, a head section, a coupling assembly, and a face aperture in the head section.

[0036]In the preferred embodiment of the all-purpose pad system, designated by reference numeral 10, first provided a body section 14. The body section is in a generally rectilinear configuration. The body section has a planar upper surface 16. The body section has a parallel planar lower surface 18. The upper and lower surfaces are separated by a thi...

Abstract

A body section in a generally rectilinear configuration has upper and lower surfaces, upper and lower peripheries, and first and second side peripheries. A head section in a generally rectilinear configuration has upper and lower surfaces, upper and lower peripheries, and first and second side peripheries, and a face aperture. A coupling assembly includes a fixed hook and loop fastener attached to the lower periphery and portions of the first and second side peripheries of the head section. The coupling assembly also includes a movable hook and loop fastener attached to the upper periphery spaced from portions of the first and second side peripheries of the body section. The system is adapted to provide supine and prone patient positioning.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0001]1. Field of the Invention[0002]The present invention relates to an all-purpose pad system adapted to provide supine and prone patient positioning and more particularly pertains to receiving and supporting a patient in need of treatment, the receiving and supporting being done in a safe, comfortable, convenient and economical manner.[0003]2. Description of the Prior Art[0004]The use of pads of known designs and configurations is known in the prior art. More specifically, pads of known designs and configurations previously devised and utilized for the purpose of supporting a patient needing treatment are known to consist basically of familiar, expected, and obvious structural configurations, notwithstanding the myriad of designs encompassed by the crowded prior art which has been developed for the fulfillment of countless objectives and requirements.[0005]While these devices fulfill their respective, particular objectives and requirements, the prior ar...
